A person with depression can experience:

Low moods
Loss of interest in pleasure
Feelings of worthlessness and guilt
Tearfulness, poor concentration, low energy
Reduced or increased appetite and weight
Withdrawal and sleeping more than usual
May feel life is not worth living and plan suicide

Depression can be caused by upsetting life events like death of a close friend/relative, relationship difficulties, physical illness, job or money worries.

Depression describes a range of moods - from low spirits to severe problems that interfere with everyday life; i.e., too depressed to feel motivated to meet your friends.

Did you know... "you are what you eat..."  What you eat can affect your moods - A balanced diet is good for your mind, as well as your body

TOP TIPS

    1. Lift yourself... take up an activity  which allows you to express yourself
- like dancing or writing...

    2. Let it out!!! Talk to someone who you feel comfortable expressing yourself to.
